This document contains information to help you access and post works onto the Computer Science student web site. It contains two critical procedures to accomplish uploading files. Please complete first the Preparation procedure and then select the Uploading File(s) onto FTP site procedure for more information.

1.      Preparation

2.      Uploading File(s) onto FTP site

Preparation

Obtaining URL, host name, remote path, user id and password

·         A unique URL has been assigned and made available to you for the classes that you have registered. To obtain your URL, select the appropriate class, ticket number and instructor name, and find for your name from http://cs.sacbusiness.org. Base from this URL, you will extract the host name, remote path, and user id information as shown in the example below and use those information later in your uploading process.

Example:

            http://classes.sacbusiness.org/pages/InstructorName/coursesection/DOEJ010515cs

      The extracted information will be:

Host name - classes.sacbusiness.org

Remote path - pages/InstructorName/coursesection

User ID  - DOEJ010515

·         The password is your student ID. Please don not share your password with others.

NOTE: If you have any problem finding your assigned URL, obtaining the host name, remote path, and user id, or formulating the password, discuss with your instructor immediately.

Uploading file(s) onto FTP site

Select one of the following software for instructions on how to upload file(s) onto the FTP site.
